Our colleague stories give you a closer look at life at Glacier: the roles people do, the teams they work with, the skills they are building and the moments that make them proud.
From starting out to growing a career, these stories show what it means to be part of a practical, ambitious and supportive business.

Country Planning Manager, Argentan
It all started almost by chance back in 1998, with a simple summer job in logistics. I had just left school with my A-levels, never imagining for a moment that this field would become a real passion. Very quickly, I was lucky enough to cross paths with a manager who believed in me and supported me with great kindness. He taught me the fundamentals of the role, encouraging me to explore different aspects of logistics, from supply to planning.
Over time, I grew professionally alongside him. When he retired, I felt a mix of real emotion and genuine responsibility when I was offered the chance to step into his position. I accepted the challenge, and today, as Country Planning Manager, I lead a team of 13 people with pride – trying in turn to pass on what I've learned and support others along the way.
When I reached 40, I felt the need to go further, to consolidate my knowledge and prove to myself that I could still grow. I decided to go back into education – a significant decision that wouldn't have been possible without the support of Glacier. The company believed in me, invested in my journey, and supported me with flexible scheduling that allowed me to balance work, study and personal life.
It wasn't always easy: those years demanded a great deal of energy, organisation and sometimes sacrifice. But I could count on the support of my team, which made all the difference. I went on to achieve a bachelor's degree in business management, followed by a master's in management, production, logistics and purchasing. Beyond the skills gained, the experience helped me grow enormously as a person and gave me even greater confidence in supporting others in their own development.
Today, I firmly believe that you don't need to have all the answers at the start to succeed. With determination, curiosity and a desire to move forward, it is always possible to learn and push beyond your limits. It's also by questioning yourself, staying humble and continuing to evolve that you can make lasting progress – and above all, pass that on to others in turn.
After all these years, I feel a genuine attachment to Glacier. This company has offered me opportunities, supported my growth and allowed me to build a career I am proud of. That is also why I care so deeply about giving my best every day and contributing, in my own way, to the development of both the teams and the business.

Team Leader, Argentan
My name is Julien and I have a background in food science. After my studies, I had the opportunity to join Glacier in January 2014 – a decision I have never regretted, as the company was truly what I was looking for, both professionally and personally.
What immediately appealed to me about Glacier was the working atmosphere: serious yet friendly. I enjoyed developing within a human-scale organisation where you feel genuinely included, while also being part of the production of technical products that demand precision and constant adaptation.
I started out as an operator in the Mix workshop. That's where I learned the fundamentals: respect for the rules, precision in my work, and the importance of team spirit. It quickly became clear to me that success comes through collaboration and supporting one another every day. Over time, I gained autonomy and confidence, and became versatile across all the roles within the workshop.
In 2018, I moved into a workshop management technician role. This change gave me a broader perspective and a more complete view of how things work. I learned to organise myself more effectively, to anticipate issues, to manage the unexpected, and to communicate across different teams. It was a hugely valuable experience, particularly in terms of taking initiative and embracing responsibility.
Then, in 2023, I had the opportunity to become team leader in the same workshop. Today, my role is also about supporting others – listening to them, motivating them and building a positive team dynamic. That's an aspect of the job I care particularly deeply about. I try to be present, available and fair, so that everyone can work in good conditions and give their best.
This journey has allowed me to grow, both professionally and personally. I've learned to adapt, to commit, to persevere and to always look for ways to improve.
I'm grateful to Glacier for the trust they have placed in me over the years. Today, I look to the future within the group with confidence and a real desire to keep growing and contributing.

Team Leader, Langemark
I started at Glacier in 2008 through an interim position and received a permanent contract a year later. From the very beginning, I felt trusted and valued – something I’m still grateful for today.
I spent my first 10 years in order entry. Over time, I began to feel the need for something new. The role had become quite routine, and I was ready to challenge myself again – especially in a more people-oriented environment. With the encouragement of my manager and the right internal opportunities, I decided to take that next step.
Today, I’ve evolved into a role where I act as a spokesperson for the team and focus on collaboration, coaching, and supporting colleagues. That transition wasn’t just a change in job title – it was a real personal and professional growth journey.
What made this possible is the culture at Glacier. You’re given opportunities, but also the support to succeed. During my transition, I went through a structured selection process and received coaching, which truly helped me grow into my new role. Having a manager who believes in you and is available for feedback makes a huge difference.
What I enjoy most today is the variety in my work and the strong human connection. Coaching people, helping them grow, and building a strong, collaborative team gives me energy every day. It’s rewarding to see people gain confidence and contribute to the team’s success.
For me, Glacier stands out because of the people, the positive atmosphere, and the fact that it’s a growing company with exciting opportunities. On top of that, I get to work in an international environment, using different languages daily – which makes the job even more dynamic.
If you’re looking for a company where you can develop yourself, take on new challenges, and be supported along the way, Glacier is definitely the place to be.

Production Manager, Argentan
Having joined in 2014 as a mix preparation operator, I worked my way up through team leader roles before becoming Production Manager in January 2020. Today, I oversee a broad and cross-functional remit covering manufacturing, continuous improvement, hygiene and much more. Working directly with all support services and directors, I rely on a collaborative management approach to ensure the smooth operational running of my teams.
My progression has been built on strong values that I share with the company: trust, listening, commitment and a sense of responsibility. For me, management is above all a team effort – one that requires staying humble, learning from others every day and knowing how to weigh up risks in order to make the right decisions. I am sincerely grateful to those who have believed in me from the start and shared their expertise, and today it is my turn to help my colleagues grow.

Quality Team Lead, Langemark
I joined Glacier in July 2019 as a Packaging Specialist. Three years later, I stepped into the role of Team Lead Quality, a move that aligned perfectly with both my ambitions and my background.
I've always been ambitious, and quality is a field that genuinely excites me, it touches every part of a business. When I felt I'd reached a ceiling in my previous role, Glacier gave me perspective and a concrete growth path. That made all the difference.
What stood out to me about my internal promotion was how professionally it was handled. The position was opened up publicly, and I went through the full selection process, just as any external candidate would.
The process was transparent and fair. After stepping into the role, I had an integration check-in to see how things were going, received support from the team, got up to speed on the systems, and was able to follow external training programmes too, new IFS and BRC versions, among others.
My manager Danny was a key factor in my development. But equally important was the way my leadership journey unfolded: step by step, at a pace that allowed me to truly grow into the role. Danny has helped me enormously, and what I appreciate most is that I wasn't thrown in at the deep end. I was able to grow into a leadership position gradually, which means I arrived there ready, not burned out.
Why do I work for Glacier? It's the atmosphere, close-knit, collegial, with friendly colleagues and no one who thinks they're above anyone else. The product itself is exciting to work with, and the production process is genuinely challenging. I find that motivating, not daunting. And making a real contribution to the business? That's what gives me energy every day.

Warehouse & Transport Manager, Cavriago
I started my career at 20, fresh on the warehouse floor as an Inbound Operator. No big title, no grand plan – just a willingness to learn and a curiosity for how things moved, connected, and flowed. I was surrounded by raw materials, forklifts, and the organised chaos that defines a good warehouse, and I found myself naturally drawn to understanding the bigger picture behind it all.
As I grew into the role, I began taking on more responsibility. Before long, I stepped into the position of Outbound Logistics Manager, leading a team of 16. That was the moment I realised I genuinely enjoyed leadership – not the authority, but the problemsolving, the coaching, the feeling of helping a team succeed together.
From there, things accelerated. Inbound and Outbound were eventually brought together under my leadership, which pushed me to think more strategically about the entire logistics chain. Then came transport and traffic – national and export – another layer of complexity that I embraced. Each new area felt like a puzzle I was eager to solve.
As the business evolved, so did I. I became heavily involved in multisite ERP implementations, working across locations to align systems, processes, and people. It was challenging, but it sharpened my ability to manage change and keep operations steady even when everything around them was shifting.
Today, after the 2025 integration to become Glacier, my role has grown into a fully structured managerial position with significant scope. I now lead a team of 38 operational staff and 14 office resources, overseeing internal and external warehouses, logistics operations, and integration projects across the organisation. What started as unloading raw materials has turned into guiding an entire logistics ecosystem.
Looking back, I didn’t climb a ladder so much as build one step at a time – driven by curiosity, resilience, and a genuine passion for making complex operations run smoothly.
