Glacier appoints Tunc Tezel as Group CFO

Glacier, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of private-label and co-manufactured ice cream and frozen desserts, today announces the appointment of Tunc Tezel as Group Chief Financial Officer.

Tezel joins Glacier’s Executive Committee and will lead the Group’s finance function as the business continues its next phase of growth and transformation. He succeeds Serkan Cagatay, who fulfilled the CFO role on an interim basis.

Tezel brings more than 20 years of international experience leading finance functions across consumer businesses. During his career, he has held senior finance and leadership positions at Gillette/P&G, BAT, and Pladis, where he has led large-scale integrations, operational performance improvement programmes and profitability growth initiatives across multiple European markets.

Most recently, Tezel served as Europe CFO and VP FP&A at Ontex, the world’s largest private-label hygiene products manufacturer. In this role, he led the integration of institutional business with retail business and helped return the business to growth and improve profitability in a highly complex operational environment.

Tezel joins Glacier at a significant moment for the business following a period of strong growth. After completing the merger of Gelato d’Italia and Ysco, the company reported revenue of €582m in 2025. His leadership will support Glacier’s ongoing international expansion and continued investment in innovation and manufacturing capabilities.

Matt Frost, Executive Director of Glacier, said: “Tunc is a brilliant addition to the Glacier team. He brings extensive international finance and leadership experience that will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen the business. Tunc joins us at an exciting point in Glacier’s journey as we consolidate our position as one of Europe’s leading ice cream manufacturers and target further international growth.

“I’d like to thank Serkan for his support and leadership over the past year, helping guide the business through an important period for Glacier. We will continue to benefit from his expertise in his role at Afendis and look forward to working together as we build a stronger Glacier.”

Tunc Tezel, Group Chief Financial Officer, said: “Joining Glacier provides an exciting opportunity to bring my experience from other consumer sectors to the fast-moving world of ice cream. Matt and the team have built a strong reputation for quality, innovation and client service across the European market. I’m looking forward to working with them as we build on that base and become a global leader in ice cream manufacturing.”
